Our Design Challenge
At the heart of our work with the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network, a conservation charity within the Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels community, was a mission to amplify their impact through powerful visual communications. This network is dedicated to protecting Britain’s Red Squirrel population from extinction by inspiring community action.
Our task involved crafting a suite of designs for communication and marketing materials – from eye-catching flyers to vibrant banners – while thoughtfully strengthening the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network’s visual identity system.

Building on and Enhancing a Conservation Brand
In our collaboration with the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network, we embraced a purpose-driven approach to visual communications by thoroughly reviewing their existing brand materials and graphic assets.
Our goal was to unify and elevate the brand’s presence – expanding the colour palette thoughtfully, selecting a new brand font that reflects their mission, designing a cohesive set of icons, creating supportive graphics, and curating a purposeful image library for the organisation to sustainably draw upon.
This process strengthened the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network’s visual identity, ensuring it resonates deeply with their conservation mission and community engagement.
Purpose-Driven Brand Guidelines
As part of strengthening the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network’s visual communications, we developed a clear, consistent set of brand guidelines.
These guidelines serve as a vital tool, enabling TRSN to sustain a professional and thoughtful visual presence across social media, print, and digital channels – ensuring their purpose-driven mission is communicated with integrity and impact.
Animation
Through simple, elegant motion graphics, we brought the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network’s existing brand assets to life across social media and digital platforms.
This dynamic visual communication not only enhances engagement but also inspires purposeful actions, guiding audiences toward meaningful support for conservation goals.
Our Final Results
The initial feedback from the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the strength of our collaborative, purpose-driven approach. We delivered a cohesive suite of branded materials that visually reestablished TRSN’s identity, enhancing their presence across all touchpoints.
