Design for Good with the Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network

Design and creativity are important tools that enhance how charities and other organisations communicate.

Our Design Task

The Tweeddale Red Squirrel Network is a conservation charity and part of the Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels community, an organisation with the aim of saving Britain’s Red Squirrel population from the threat of extinction through purposeful community action.

Our task was to develop a number of designs for communication and marketing materials, ranging from flyers to flags, whilst at the same time enhancing The Tweeddale Red Squirrel Networks’ visual identity system.

Core Services: Branding and Graphic Design, Design for Print

Building on and Enhancing the Brand

As part of our role whilst crafting print and marketing collateral for TRSN, we reviewed existing brand materials and graphical assets. We set out to both unify and build upon the existing colour palette, designate a new brand font, develop a set of icons, craft supporting graphics and curate a small bank of images for the organisation to pull from.

Brand Guidelines

In the process of consolidating key building blocks for the brand, we were able to establish a consistent set of guidelines that would allow TRSN to maintain a professional and considered visual appearance across all social media, print and digital channels.

Animation

Simple, elegant motion graphics for social media and digital platforms, brings existing brand assets to life and can help drive users towards specific goals and actions.

Our Final Results

Initial feedback from our client was incredibly positive, but don’t just take our word for it. We ended up with a consistent suite of branded materials and helped reestablished TRSN, visually. We’ll continue to build awareness, drive engagement and deliver design work that can make a difference to TRSN and like-minded organisations.
